As our sponsored football team – Washington Deaf Football Club – prepares for one of its biggest tournaments to date, MGH Offshore has supplied the team with a new kit.
We are extremely proud of our sponsored team who will be heading to Greece this month to compete against the best Deaf Football teams from around the world.
Recently, the team fought off tough competition – against five other clubs in the Northern section of the English Deaf Football League – to win a place in the Champions League.
The team will join St Johns, who won the Southern Section competition, to represent England in the Deaf Champion League in the tournament in Greece.
The team is very active in encouraging both males and females – of all ages – who experience hearing impairments to participate in the sport and play with a team of like-minded individuals. They work closely with the local FA and visit schools as part of its community engagement efforts and raising awareness of the club.
It’s such an achievement to make it to the finals and compete with teams across the globe. And we would like to take this opportunity to wish all of the team the very best of luck, and will be supporting them as they hopefully return home victorious!
